Humanitarian Mission in Occidental Mindoro Successfully Completed Through Strong Security Partnership and Collaboration.

Occidental Mindoro, Philippines A five day international humanitarian mission in the Province of Occidental Mindoro was successfully carried out through the strong collaboration and security support of the Occidental Mindoro Police Provincial Office (OMPPO)-P and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The mission, which brought together an international team dedicated to serving vulnerable communities, was made possible through the thorough coordination and security assurance provided by the OMPPO under the leadership of PCOL TIMOTEO L. ESPIRITU, JR., Provincial Director, alongside PLTCOL REMEGIO D. YAPES (DPDA) and PLTCOL MICHAEL DONALD C. CARNOSO (DPDO).

The Key Partnership support was Initiated by the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), led by PMAJ RODRIGO B. BORLADO, Chief of PCADU, and PLT LORNAS NUNEZ, Deputy Chief, together with their dedicated personnel:

PEMS Mary Michelle A. Encina, PCMS Mary Ann U. Cruz, PCMS Roselle R. Delos Santos, PSMS Riza I. Bornasal, PMSg Allan Amadeo S. Roda, PMSg Joan S. Dalisay, PSSg Michelle R. Marino, PCpl Rowell O. Perucho, PCpl Jerick Agnais, PCpl Jasper Martizano, Pat Shienaleen P. Ramirez, and Pat Patrisya A. Hernandez.

Security operations were further strengthened through the assistance of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, led by TC ADRIAN MARK U. GULLUNAN, INF (GSC) PA – Commander, with MAJ JOHNGIE B. SIATANAN (INF) PA – Executive Officer, and 2LT MARIANNE ABSALON (FS) PA – Acting CMO Officer of the 68th Infantry “Kaagapay” Battalion.

The PCADU and YGM partnership ensured the safety of the international humanitarian team as they reached remote and underserved communities including areas often considered high-risk demonstrating that coordinated efforts and unified purpose can enable meaningful service even in the most challenging environments.

Mission Impact

Over the course of five days, the humanitarian mission delivered vital services to communities across various barangays and municipalities in Occidental Mindoro:

610 individuals received eye check-ups and eyeglasses

1,160 individuals, including children, benefited from feeding programs

145 families from indigenous communities received food relief packs

510 individuals were provided with medical consultations and essential medicines

145 parents, police women personnel and teachers were trained about mental health and to support children with disabilities
